Moto Ride
Last night was a hot one. I was riding solo and it was hot (>94) so I took it pretty slow to not over heat nor wreck myself. I did end up wrecking myself, but not too bad. With all the storms, there has been a lot of stuff down on the trails. I took the slow conditions as a time to stop and remove as much as I could from the trail. I was busy and got a good workout restarting my bike. I also took some time to play with suspension setting a bit more. I think I am zeroing in on what I think will be my baseline settings for Windrock. Its rocky and these settings are soft enough to not deflect and have a good bit of rebound to keep the bike planted. At times I was able to ride “in front” of the bike and felt in control for a change. “In front” is a term I use when riding my pedal bike and it means I’m in control, up on the bars and see the moves before I make them happen. Riding “behind” the bike means I am doing way too much reacting to what the bike is doing. The moves are happening before I see them.
