Sorry about the delay in updates. I had a pretty good crash last Saturday and I haven’t been on the bike much. The Sugar National was this weekend. I elected not to go, again. 1.5 hour practices per day on a 30 minute lift just didn’t do it for me. I really missed the competition, but for the price and stupid practice schedule I just wasn’t fired up about it. It seems lots of folks thought the same thing. Boooo NORBA. Thanks for killing national level competition.
I did some trail work at Bigfoot on Friday and Windrock on Saturday. Bigfoot was overgrown with ragweed, but the jumps still look in good condition. I think I’ll do some jumping this week. Windrock needed a few items attended to as well. There was a tree down in the Baby-Head rock garden, the bridge at the bottom of Southern Rocks was busted and the new trail Mark and I started needed a new connection into the Baby-Head. Lucky The Mayor came out and helped, otherwise I would have never got it finished. There is a bit of bench work to be done, but I think it is at least ridable for the time being. Maybe I can get a few folks to help me finish it this week sometime.
After the work on Saturday, Chris and I explored the proposed Windrock XC area around the Coal Creek Campground. Wow. There is some great terrain out there. I took some pictures of the area, but we really need to get some folks out there to see it for themselves.
Wow, this image doesn’t even look like WR. And do I make out some trails that are already there?
