A Little Snowshoe Vacation
My ole buddy Loo from San Diego/New Orleans had organized a ride trip for him and some of his buddies to Windrock and Snowshoe. So he, Toby, Steve, and Tim set out for my place on Wednesday the 4th. They arrived late in the evening of the 4th and were up early the next morning for riding at Windrock. We got in couple runs, but in typical Windrock fashion, the mountain claimed fresh meat. Tim, who had never ridden a real DH course, took at dirt nap on the first run and ended up breaking his arm just above the wrist. Since he needed to see a ortho, he decided to call the rest of the trip and fly home Thursday night while we drove onto Snowshoe for the rest of the weekend.
Snowshoe received a good dose of rain all day Thursday, so the trails were good and wet on Friday. But they dried well and were primo all day Saturday and Sunday. Joining us were Josh, Matt, Mark and Terry (all Windrock locals). Also joining us were Stan and Clara. We have seen them at Snowshoe a couple of times and Windrock once. They are really nice folks and huge Morewood fans. So they are cool in my book. Here are some pictures for the fun.

That was a great trip. Can’t wait to get healed up and go back. Doug e-mail me at toby@sisung.com. I want to get the pics of us coming down the new section of trail that you took at windrock.
