Weekend Update
This past weekend has been great.
Friday night we tried fishing with Wyatt. We had fun, but the real news is that, on his own, Wyatt learned to stand up and coast on his bike. He puts his heels on the chainstays and stands up. I have never shown him this. Its just something he figured out on his own. By Saturday morning he was doing it on the pump track. For a bike with no brakes and no pedals, he can certainly out ride me. I can’t wait for him to advance and get on a BMX and moto.
Saturday I headed over to Windrock to do a little DHing. I have not had much fun Dhing this year, but after some tuning on my bike I started to find some flow. Of course this was after a nice body slam in the Coal Berms to wake me up. But overall Saturday’s action was good until Ben went over the bars in Bedrock and dislocated his shoulder. See post below.
On Sunday I needed to do some more tuning on my moto. I have had tons of issues getting my 250XC to turn and be plush. So after some research I lowered the oil volume in my fork and WOW! Its like a hot knife through butter. I was able to be super aggressive on the rocky trails and I had fun jumping off and over things. But Terry and I did some trail maintenance on Red Oak. It clear of all the low hangers and mostly clear of briars.
That’s awesome Doug!
Thats pretty awesome!! amazing that he just stood up..
