Spring?

Was this weekend a sign of things to come? I usually point out the negative but this weekend was all positive. Well it ended this morning and that is negative but when it was here it was great. Perfect temps and perfect sun.

Saturday was 65 miles on the dirt bike. Sunday was the Zoo with the family and a movie night with Meghann.

Sedona Day 4

All packed up and ready to travel back but first a few pics from a very, very slow day.

The pic of Loo on the phone sort of summed up the day.

Sedona Day 3

BONK! I have done as many rides in three days as I have months back home. I tried to get some miles in before I came on the trip but the weather just didn’t work out for both Loo or I. Even though we are hurting pretty bad, the views and trails are spectacular.

Sedona Day 2

More fun today. However we had some damage: a knee pad, a fork and an elbow.

Sedona Day 1

I had to escape the misery of East TN and made my way to Flagstaff, AZ to stay and ride with my good ole buddy JP. We (no trip is complete without Loo) were a bit surprised to see all the snow and expect to ride. However a short 45 drive south to Sedona yielded 60 degree weather and crystal clear blue skies. The bike was in top performance and the tires Wyatt hooked me up with were incredible. Here are a few shots.

I can’t say how much this trip was needed for my mental health. I have a great family with a kid that lives to ride and dirt biking in the mud is great. But I’m a mtber at heart and I really needed some pedal fun. JP took us on some really, really cool trails with some awesome dh sections. I have the Contour HD running and when I get back I’ll edit and post up some winners.

Does it ever end?

This weather is a little too much for me. Luckily I am heading to AZ to trail ride with JP and Loo for 4 days starting on Thursday. But back to soggy, wet East TN for now. Devin and found snow just above Caryville on Saturday. Then on Sunday we broke Terry in right at Duncan’s loop on his new KTM 200. In Terry form he was pinned right off and it won’t be long before he is up front leading the charge.

Friday Meghann and I got a new LG LED 42″ full HD TV to replace the recently dead rear projection. Then on Sunday we added Apple TV to the mix.

All wet

Rode Norris to get in my require interval training and boy was it wet. There was still quite a bit of slush and snow and where it was free of snow it was a river. My glasses last half of the descent down White Pine. Yuck. This weather pattern has to break at some point right?
