Right now we are drying our gear and getting for our second day of Chesapeake Bay sea duck hunting. Today wasn’t so good. We got 1 surf scooter and downed an old sqwall but couldn’t retrieve it successfully.
My new $125, 900 lumen LED light from Magicshine. It came with 2 batteries!
So I raced my 3rd hare scramble this past Sunday and it was a much better outcome than the previous two. Last summer I finished 59th out of 85 and then in the winter I finished 81 out of 150. Both of those races were in tough extreme conditions. Either 90+ degrees or 3 inches of snow and sub-freezing. However this past Sunday it was 75 and sunny. The dirt was perfect and the track was fast. I finished 56 out of 117. Good for 7th in the catch all class of Heavy Trail. HT is the class for all one day riders without a SETRA membership. A to C and all ages. So there were some fast guys. First in HT finished 38th up with the B riders.
